Ways for Keeping Your Drags Shorter

Let us face it, vaping is cool, not to mention that it is a better alternative to smoking. However, in bid to keep enjoying your favorite e-juice with your favorite unit that you got from Crystal Canyon Vapes, you must incur cost in constantly replacing parts and the e-liquid. However, if you are taking good care of your vaping supplies and handling them right, you should be able to save some bucks. And, taming the duration of your drags is one way of lengthening the lifespan of your unit.
Aside from ruining your electronic cigarette or MOD, taking longer drags could be harmful to your health, especially the lungs. Yes, we cannot deny the fact that vaping is a better option. However, if we are always taking short drags, we run the risk of ruining our lungs by decreasing the lung capacity. Also, it could lead to pneumonia. Besides, vaping involves the inhalation of vapor and nicotine.
With that said, here are some tips to help you take shorter drags and how it will help in improving the lifespan of your atomizer and to help preserve your health.
Before we can begin solving the problem, it is important to understand why vapers take long drags in the first place. The answer is simple. They take long drags because they think of it as the only way to get massive clouds. However, what most vapers don't understand is that you can take shorter drags and still reach the lung capacity. Taking short drags in quick successions will ensure that you get the desired lung capacity, but without putting stress on your device.
To be able to take shorter drags and still get a decent amount of vapor, it is important that you invest in the right atomizer. If you get a 510 atomizer or a low resistance atomizer then you will not have to take long draws to produce large clouds. These atties can produce awesome amounts of vapor even when you are taking shorter draws. Therefore, by investing in a high-power atomizer, you don't have to necessarily strain your device with long draws
Having adequate amounts of e-juice in your vape tank, always, will ensure that you are satisfied with taking shorter draws. As the e-liquid begins to deplete, the flavor starts to diminish and the clouds of vapor appear to be thinner. It is at this point that many vapers decide to start taking longer draws, not knowing that they are only making things worse and running the risk of getting burnt hits. Instead of opting for longer draws, first check the level of your e-liquid. If running low, refill your tank and you will not have to take longer draws to get you satisfactory cloud quality. Also, by taking shorter draws, you can go slow on the vape juice. Therefore, it will reduce your total costs of the liquid.

Shorter draws are the best way to inhale. This is because they help you to lengthen the lifespan of your atomizer and e-liquids, thereby reducing the cost of replacement for these vaping supplies. Other than being cost-efficient, shorter draws are advised to anyone who cares about their health. Therefore, we advocate for every vaper to try and take shorter draws. Besides, shorter draws do not have to mean that you are compromising on the vapor production. The quick successions techniques should be able to help you take shorter draws and still maintain a worthy vapor. And, investing in a low resistance atomizer will also help you achieve the same, only that you do not have to take long draws.

How Can The PG/VG Ratio in Your E-Liquid Affect Your Vape Tank?

At one time crafting e-juice from scratch was a hobby I enjoyed that taught me a lot about what goes into the juices we vape. From the flavorings to the nicotine to the PG/VG ratio, composing a good juice was about understanding the role these substances played and balancing them according to personal preference and purpose. Whether it's clouds or flavor, pen or sub ohm tank, the ratio of propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) form the basis of the effectiveness juice can have on the user's experience. With this knowledge, I would like to help you understand the difference in PG and VG, and how the ratio of the two can affect flavor and clouds depending on what type of device is being used.

Propylene glycol is a man-made chemical developed for use in everything from soaps and deodorant to inhalers and nebulizers. Very few people suffer a mild allergy to the substance and for this reason look to juices that have more VG. However, the FDA has labeled the substance to be "generally recognized as safe" for use in food, having anti-fungal and antimicrobial properties that help to balance the organic nature of vegetable glycerin. Its solubility makes it the ideal base for the flavorings used in e-juices, and nearly all the most popular flavorings that companies use come pre-mixed into a solution of PG. For this reason, PG is known as the flavor carrying agent in e-juices, as it has a smaller molecular structure that allows the molecules in the flavoring itself to be more easily integrated. The amount of PG you want in your juice depends on what type of tank used and the desired experience. Flavor chasers will look for a juice that contains an equal balance of the two. In tanks that produce less vapor such as the smaller skinnier vape pen tanks, a thinner more flavor-heavy juice is needed to offset the lack of cloud production and wicking capability. Propylene glycol itself does not adversely affect Pyrex or plastic tanks, but it should be noted that acidic juices with higher amounts of PG will contain a stronger concentration of flavor and could potentially crack the tank. The thinness of PG allows these tanks to properly wick the juice.

Vegetable glycerin is naturally derived from plants and is the substance that works to produce clouds. While it does have flavor carrying capabilities, it is less effective to this end. For those of us who chase clouds, less of the flavoring agent is required as the amount of vapor big sub-ohm tanks produce have the volume necessary for flavorful hits. On setups designed for cloud production, a mix with too much PG will be so thin that spit back may occur as the wick becomes over-saturated too quickly. Generally, those looking for cloud production go for a juice with the highest amount of VG possible. MODs equipped with bigger tanks have the power and wicking ability to handle juices heavy with vg, and these larger tanks provide enough room for the thicker liquid to disperse. Most large tanks are made with Pyrex or glass, neither of which will be adversely affected by VG. However, some of these are being coated with cheap paint that can chip off, so avoid using these altogether. Beware of juices claiming to be 100% VG as the flavorings themselves are based in PG, so achieving a pure vg mix is nearly impossible. But depending on the amount of flavoring used some juices can have as much as 90 percent vegetable glycerin in their mix.

Understanding these properties should help you to more accurately choose the ratio of PG/VG you need depending on the type of tank and your preference of cloud vs. flavor production. Remember that not all juices and tanks are the same so your personal satisfaction relies on properly balancing the two to achieve the desired experience.

GENERATION V FOR VAPERS

There are several reasons that today’s generation has chosen to vape rather than continue to smoke harmful tobacco cigarettes. The question on a lot people’s minds is why is it so widely popular among the 18-35 audience? Could it be that growing up, with an array of ads on television and on billboards that condemned smoking cigarettes, pushed this generation to find a better alternative to smoking? No matter how you view it, “Generation V” is here to stay with vast knowledge, creativity, and unique ideals.

With a ton of options out there, especially here at Crystal Canyon Vapes, from starter kit e-cigarettes to MODsand RDAs, this generation has built-up the vaping world. For instance, when it comes to MODs and RDAs, this generation seems to have a better understanding for how certain principles apply to producing a unique vaping experience. Coil building and even dripping have become the norm amongst today’s vapers. You see, these vapers have delved deeper into the specifics of how a unit works and the principles behind each device.

These standards behind how exactly an e-cigarette, portable vaporizer, or MOD works is now taught and understood with basic principles taught in science classes across the world. Comprehension of Ohm’s Law, Amps, and how the resistance of coils can vary, gives today's vapers options that far exceed that of just turning the device on. Single coil versus duel coils, the gauge and wraps of each coil, and how Amps and Ohm's correlate in not only generating that cloud of vapor that is so sought after, but the maximum flavor production one desires. Every vaping device simply put, is unique when it comes to these things.

When it comes to e-liquids, today's vapers enjoy juices with a nice throat hit, have dynamic flavors, and the ability to create large clouds of vapor. When you look at the cloud chasing tournaments for instance, these vapers have the most up-to-date MODs and the e-juices to vape with that contain high amounts of VG for their cloud chasing needs.

Now, the plethora of information that is at our fingertips is a huge factor. We are in the technological age of research, and this generation has the power to simply type a couple of words relating to their interests and find a wealth of knowledge relating to their search. They can find written directions, blogs, videos, and ways to spark ones imagination on how they can make their experience the most pleasurable one.

Finally, the world of vaping has opened the door for a social aspect that allows vapers to be able to connect. Online: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Physical locations: vape expos, vapor lounges, etc. These social aspects of the vaping community are a huge contributing factor to how this generation of vapers has grown in such a short amount of time.

The only question (with an easy solution) now that this Generation V faces, is to build or not to build!

A Commonly Overlooked Issue- Overheating of MODs

As vapers move up the experience level, there comes the need to have more control over one's vape. This is the reason why MODs are the vaping device of choice among the most experiencedvapers. Besides, they allow modders (vapers who use and are into vape MODs) the flexibility to vape on very high wattages, thus, increasing the warmth of the vape. This is important in achieving a throat hit that’s more robust. Other than control, MODs are loved for their aesthetics, not to mention longevity. I could go on and on- giving the advantages of using them, but that’s a topic for another day.
Today, I’d like to discuss a commonly overlooked issue- overheating of MODs. When MODs overheat, they could lead to dry hits, which are unpleasant, to say the least. Overheating could also lead to burns. Therefore, it’s crucial that every modder learns how to avoid overheating their devices.
Check for Functionality of Your Locking Component
When purchasing a MOD, it’s important to ensure that the lock system is functioning properly. Also, with continued use, you need to ensure that the lock continues to serve its purpose. The reason for this is to prevent accidental firing. Otherwise, there’ll be nothing to prevent the coils from firing up. This could lead to overheating and in serious cases, there could be an explosion. So, why not just ensure a functional lock before you purchase your MOD.
MOD Ventilation
Ventilation is a crucial component of every MOD. The more ventilation the device has, the better. Ventilation in MODs helps in the exchange of air. Hot air goes out as cool air comes in. If your MOD has poor ventilation, it could be the root cause of overheating. So, how will you know if your MOD has ample ventilation? It's simple. Blow into your MOD and check for the presence of vents, where air goes through. The more the merrier.
Battery Status
The status of your batteries is key in preventing overheating. You need to ensure that your batteries are properly charged at all times, no exceptions. Ensure that your MOD batteries don't run too low before you can charge them. Also, when charging them, ensure that you keep checking so you don't end up overcharging. Consequently, you’ll have an overheating problem. Additionally, it’s important that you avoid using your MOD while charging. To prevent overheating or your MOD, you should invest in high-quality batteries. Opt for Lithium-Ion batteries. The integrity of these batteries will go a long way in preventing overheating. They also sense when it's too hot and turn off.

One of the greatest advantages of vaping is that it allows you to experiment. As such, you can continually heighten your vaping experience. Meaning, that it only gets better with time. However, safety must be taken into consideration, even as we experiment. Especially, if you are new to the world of modding, you must be extremely cautious to avoid injuring yourself and ruining your MOD.
