The Double Barrel Legend

Legend has it, an old prospector traveled west during the gold rush, bringing along his favorite, smooth rich tobacco blend. He stored it in two empty barrels of butterscotch.
Along the journey, his tobacco took on the sweet creamy flavor of the butterscotch and created a smooth, slightly sweet flavor.

Later after not having struck gold, the prospector began barreling tobacco with a blend of butterscotch and unsweetened caramel. This flavored tobacco quickly became popular in the local towns and saloons.

Till this day, no one knows exactly how the old prospector created his smooth, slightly sweet blend known as "Double Barrel No 5". But we have managed to recreate that same smooth rich tobacco with a decadent butterscotch and hints of caramel! Easily an all-day vape, you will not have to go prospecting to enjoy the legendary blend No 5!

A Brief Overview of Variable and Standard Voltages

For those new or in the beginning stages of vaping, you might be asking yourself, “what’s the difference between variable and standard voltages?” The direct, real short answer: It is all in the vape! For instance, were you a heavy or frequent smoker? How much vape can you handle? Let those questions help guide you in your decision-making process when it comes to choosing the right vaping device.

Are you looking to control or want to adjust the amount of vapor you create, then the variable voltage is an option to consider. With that said, you need to know about the types of voltages, because if you adjust your device too high for instance, it will become too strong and can give your e-liquid burnt taste. To avoid this, the coil, when encountering this voltage, must stay wet and clean at all times, no exceptions. If you don't have a real idea for what you are doing, it may taste like burnt liquid. Variable voltages use a 6-volt battery. A variable voltage has 6 volts and with an average of 3-ohms, it can create 12 watts of vaping power. The best part is you can control it, and it is compatible with any cartomizer that has identical threading. Those that need more vapor, flavor, or a stronger throat hit, especially if you were once again former heavy smokers, you may prefer variable voltages. Most MODs out there today are the go-to-devices when it comes to these features.

Standard voltages have a quick recharge, are less expensive, and are simplistic to understand. With a standard voltage device, you produce less vapor. Most devices use 3.7 volt batteries and 2.5-ohm cartomizers, producing a little under 5.5 watts of vaping power. Again, standard voltages are simple to use, but the downside is you are unable to adjust the levels. For those new to the vaping world or prefer less vapor, then going standard may be the best option for you. The vaping devices, such as your basic e-cigarettes, areless expensive and easy to use. They make for awesome starter kits, and, youcan always upgrade if you do feel that it is not strong enough for your taste.

Your choice really depends on the amount of vapor you want to produce! Want more, go for variable voltage devices such as using most types of MODs. If want less, stick with the standard voltages such as using e-cigarettes. In the end, it’s all about your vaping preferences. For either option, check out our vaping hardware today.

GENERATION V FOR VAPERS

There are several reasons that today’s generation has chosen to vape rather than continue to smoke harmful tobacco cigarettes. The question on a lot people’s minds is why is it so widely popular among the 18-35 audience? Could it be that growing up, with an array of ads on television and on billboards that condemned smoking cigarettes, pushed this generation to find a better alternative to smoking? No matter how you view it, “Generation V” is here to stay with vast knowledge, creativity, and unique ideals.

With a ton of options out there, especially here at Crystal Canyon Vapes, from starter kit e-cigarettes to MODsand RDAs, this generation has built-up the vaping world. For instance, when it comes to MODs and RDAs, this generation seems to have a better understanding for how certain principles apply to producing a unique vaping experience. Coil building and even dripping have become the norm amongst today’s vapers. You see, these vapers have delved deeper into the specifics of how a unit works and the principles behind each device.

These standards behind how exactly an e-cigarette, portable vaporizer, or MOD works is now taught and understood with basic principles taught in science classes across the world. Comprehension of Ohm’s Law, Amps, and how the resistance of coils can vary, gives today's vapers options that far exceed that of just turning the device on. Single coil versus duel coils, the gauge and wraps of each coil, and how Amps and Ohm's correlate in not only generating that cloud of vapor that is so sought after, but the maximum flavor production one desires. Every vaping device simply put, is unique when it comes to these things.

When it comes to e-liquids, today's vapers enjoy juices with a nice throat hit, have dynamic flavors, and the ability to create large clouds of vapor. When you look at the cloud chasing tournaments for instance, these vapers have the most up-to-date MODs and the e-juices to vape with that contain high amounts of VG for their cloud chasing needs.

Now, the plethora of information that is at our fingertips is a huge factor. We are in the technological age of research, and this generation has the power to simply type a couple of words relating to their interests and find a wealth of knowledge relating to their search. They can find written directions, blogs, videos, and ways to spark ones imagination on how they can make their experience the most pleasurable one.

Finally, the world of vaping has opened the door for a social aspect that allows vapers to be able to connect. Online: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Physical locations: vape expos, vapor lounges, etc. These social aspects of the vaping community are a huge contributing factor to how this generation of vapers has grown in such a short amount of time.

The only question (with an easy solution) now that this Generation V faces, is to build or not to build!
